It was earlier reported that Titans would begin shooting September 25 in Atlanta, Georgia… now, it seems there has been a change of plans.
Newer production listings still see Titans lensing on September 25, but the filming location is now Toronto, Canada.
With Black Lightning already scheduled to be shooting in Atlanta, and every other DC show filming in Vancouver, perhaps a different location is a good thing that will allow a new talent pool of actors to appear on the show.
Toronto is currently home to some genre shows including Freeform’s Shadowhunters so this should work out well, if Toronto is indeed the Titans’ destination.
Filming for the DC streaming service‘s Titans may be happening sooner than we all expected!
Industry website My Entertainment World is reporting a September 25 start date for Titans in Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta was home to Constantine as well as the Black Lightning pilot and is quickly growing as a “go-to” place for these things, with newer state-of-the-art facilities and tax incentives. At our sister site XMenTV we’re even reporting a tip that the X-Men related series The Gifted will lens there.
DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns has recently Tweeted about his involvement with writing the Titans and has hinted that those developments may even involve Beast Boy who was not a part of the TNT Titans treatment. Johns is joined in the production by Akiva Goldsman as well as DCTV mainstays Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.
