Titans TV Fantasy Casting: Who Else Could Show Up?

BLUE BEETLE/JAIME REYES: LUCIUS HOYOS

Lucius Hoyos (Incorporated) was one of the few watchable parts of Hreoes Reborn which also shot in Toronto… he’d also make for a great Jaime Reyes, the Blue Beetle. Like Rose Wilson, Jaime is one of the best additions to the Titans mythos in recent years, and the character has appeared in several of the Teen Titans animated movies.

Geoff Johns has also seemed to want to get Jaime onto TV for years, even putting together a Blue Beetle animation test many years ago before writing the Smallville episode “Booster” which brought Jaime to live action.

WONDER GIRL/CASSIE SANDSMARK: OLIVIA SCRIVEN

This actress from Degrassi has worked with Lucius Hoyos’ older brother Ricardo on the popular teen drama, but she also had some of the best moments and acting on the Canadian series.

While we assume the initial “Wonder Girl” that we’ll see on Titans will be Donna, there’s always room for Cassie, and this is where Olivia Scriven would fall in. Titans should catch her before any other projects snatch her up, because she’s really good.

ORIGINAL DOVE/DON HALL: JAMIE JOHNSTON

Before Dawn Grainger was the crimefighting partner of Hank Hall, a.k.a. Hawk, it was Hall’s brother Don who originally was the peace-loving superhero before dying in a crisis.

If we are to ever see any flashbacks — and again, returning to the Degrassi well — we suggest Jamie Johnston to appear alongside Alan Ritchson’s Hawk, a peaceful counterpoint to Hawk’s aggression.
