Titans Casts Superboy For Season 2

Hello and welcome back to TitansTV!

Sadly, a big server crash got rid of most of our posts from mid-November on… but the site is back! Our Doom Patrol content, though, has migrated on to KSiteTV.

In any event, we have news – Superboy has been cast for Titans Season 2!

Sadly, it’s not Matthew Daddario who we were hoping for at TitansTV Tower, but instead, they got Australian actor Joshua Orpin.

Here’s how TV Line describes the character:

Conner Kent is described as an “angsty teenager of steel” searching for purpose and the truth about his past, after apparently being experimented on by the nefarious Cadmus. While looking for answers, he crashes into the world of the Titans where he finds an unlikely home and surrogate family — as well as revelations that carry more complications than he ever bargained for.

This seems to be an adaptation of the version of Conner Kent which could be seen in Young Justice as well as the fantastic run by Geoff Johns on the Teen Titans comics in the early 2000s.

Titans Season 2 is in production for the DC Universe subscription service.

The Doom Patrol Is Separate From Titans Continuity

DC Universe is premiering Doom Patrol this coming Friday, February 15, and at the Television Critics Association Press Tour, we asked if the events of this series tie in to what we saw on Titans last year.

“There are elements that were present in the Titans ‘Doom Patrol’,” showrunner Jeremy Carver said, “but I think everyone is best suited coming into this Doom Patrol understanding that we have our own continuity and our own story. And if you come in with a fresh perspective, I think that’s the best way to view this Doom Patrol,” he said.

Doom Patrol will have April Bowlby reprising the role of Rita Farr from Titans; Matthew Bomer and Brendan Fraser continue to voice Negative Man and Robotman. Timothy Dalton takes over the role of The Chief. Follow @DoomPatrolTV on Twitter for more on the show!
