It’s Here: The DC Universe Titans Trailer

After what feels like years of anticipation, the official trailer for the DC Universe original series Titans is here!

The trailer launch comes at the same time DC is having what we hear is an impressive DC Universe installation/display at the Comic-Con International in San Diego. Note the TV-MA warning – there’s an F-bomb and some serious violence within the trailer, but that’s only the start – check it out: Raven looks comics-perfect, Beast Boy is green, and Starfire is fiery! We can’t wait.

See some screen captures from the new Titans trailer at our general TV news site, KSiteTV!

Brenton Thwaites plays Dick Grayson/Robin, and the series also stars Teagan Croft, Anna Diop, Ryan Potter and many others. Here’s how they describe it:

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

DC Universe is now open for registration at DCUniverse.com. It’s looking like it’s $74.99 for a year’s membership, which will include several original series, comics, and DC favorites; that may sound pricey but it averages to less than $7 per month — less than the cost of two comic books!

Is Titans Casting Ra’s Al Ghul?

Enough Ra’s is enough!

Not content for us having different actors playing Ra’s al Ghul in Batman Begins, Arrow and Gotham, a casting breakdown posted by That Hashtag Show implies that yet another Ra’s actor may be on the way — for DC’s streaming Titans.

Here’s the breakdown so you can see it for yourself:

Male, 40s-50s, Middle Eastern, Latin, or East Indian. Seeking a young Richard Attenborough type. Fearless, manipulative, with unparalleled intelligence. Recurring guest star, seeking recognizable faces only.

Titans is coming to the still unnamed DC Comics-based streaming service which just announced a Metropolis series. Also on the service will be a third season of Young Justice, titled Young Justice: Outsiders.

First Look Photo: Live-Action Hawk and Dove From DC’s Titans!

Warner Bros. Television has released a first-look photo at two more characters from the upcoming Titans live-action series for the DC Comics streaming service!

This time the spotlight falls on Hawk (Hank Hall, as played by Alan Ritchson) and Dove (Dawn Granger, as played by Minka Kelly), with suits designed by Laura Jean Shannon (Black Lightning, Iron Man, The Jungle Book).

Titans comes from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service will be operated by Warner Bros. Digital Networks.

Take a look at the photo of the two actors in costume below. For Ritchson, that’s certainly an upgrade from his Aquaman look from Smallville, right?

Ryan Potter Is Titans’ Beast Boy – And He Is Green!

It was just a few days ago that, in a conversation, TitansTV’s Craig Byrne mentioned to a friend that Ryan Potter (Big Hero 6) would be a great choice for Beast Boy…. well, guess what: It’s happening.

Deadline is reporting that Potter has landed that last big role in the DC streaming service Titans series… and revealing that his skin and hair will be green! Here’s how the TV version of the character is described:

As a child, Potter’s Garfield “Gar” Logan contracted the lethal disease, Sakutia, while on an African expedition with his geneticist parents. Treated with an experimental drug, Gar survived but not without developing some bizarre side effects.  Along with skin and hair turning permanently green, the wisecracking, fun-loving Beast Boy is able to reshape himself into any animal of any size he can imagine.

Ryan Potter joins Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, and Teagan Croft in this group of Titans;  Lindsey Gort is Detective Amy Rohrbach, and Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly will be appearing as Hawk and Dove. It is assumed that the show will premiere in 2018.

Titans Adds A Carrie Diaries Alum

Someone from The Carrie Diaries is joining the cast of Titans!

No, AnnaSophia Robb isn’t playing Wonder Girl — but the show’s “Samantha,” Lindsey Gort, is joining the cast of the upcoming DC Digital Service Titans series as Det. Amy Rohrbach – a role that was originally revealed as being a part of the show a few weeks ago.

The casting news came courtesy of TV Line today.

Titans is due sometime next year, and will star Brenton Thwaites as Robin Nightwing Dick Grayson.
