TV Line was able to get some words from TNT President Kevin Reilly about the fate of Titans… and it’s still in play!
Writer-producer Akiva Goldsman has a lot on his plate, but Reilly says they hope they will lock casting and ramp up production “this summer.” The next goal, of course, is to see how Titans will stand out.
The website Season-Zero.com is alleging that TNT’s Titans might be going by a different title.
This new title they mentioned is “Blackbirds” – possibly referencing the bird-themed characters within – although, if you’re adapting a major brand, shouldn’t you use a name people know?
They mention the show will shoot in the Spring in Toronto. The Toronto part is consistent with what we have heard; the Spring part, we hadn’t heard before. Maybe the Starz project Blackbirds is shooting soon, which would put us back at the “no Titans updates” corner.
We’ve heard nothing confirming this and will take any news with a grain of salt until or unless the studio, the network, or the creative people involved confirm anything.
UPDATE: While we’ve heard nothing either way from the studio, Chris (@Comic_Canuck on Twitter) did some sleuthing and found that Starz has a project in development called “Blackbirds,” based on a novel. Chances are good that Season-Zero got their wires crossed. Nothing to see here!
It’s been a quiet time for those of us seeking news on Titans, with things like Lucifer, Supergirl, and the untitled Arrow/Flash spinoff seemingly taking more priority in the DCTV world. Continue reading
Barbara Gordon hangs out with the Titans?
Nerdist.com has supposedly gotten a hold of the Titans pilot script, and they have revealed which characters we will be seeing… including a few surprises. Now, we cannot verify if this report is accurate, but we can pass along what was said. You can read the full report HERE. But if this is true, who can we look forward to?
“Hot Garbage” is the title of the new episode of Teen Titans Go! airing on the Cartoon Network at 6PM/5PM Central on the Cartoon Network.
Since there are no details about the new live-action show yet, we’ll share some cartoon pics here for now.
All we know about Titans at this point is that the pilot is shooting next year, and that it is expected for it to include Nightwing as well as some DC Comics Titans favorites like Starfire and Raven.
The hope is that TNT likes it, and makes a series out of it.
We’ve compiled a list of some of our own casting suggestions, and you’re all welcomed to leave some of your own in the comments section. As we don’t know for sure which characters will be present, or what ages they are even looking for, this could be completely off from what we ultimately end up getting, if we see anything at all.
We’re getting an early start on things by creating a Facebook page dedicated to discussing the hopeful upcoming Titans TNT series.

A Tweet from DC’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns confirms that a Titans pilot will indeed be filmed next year from TNT.
The original Robin – Dick Grayson – could be heading to television on TNT.
